How to send a customer receipt

Learn how to send your customers a receipt once the job is charged

You can send customers a receipt once the job is charged (Job status is set to 'Paid'). You can send the receipt 2 ways:

  • Manually per job
  • Automatically

Before we get into the details of how to send the receipt and from where you can make some edits/changes on the receipt email template by going to Settings -> Booking forms & Communications -> Email communications -> Customer receipt:

There are 2 template layouts for the receipt

  • Narrow (defaulted)
  • Wide

  • You can preview each template by clicking on it

You can list out terms/company statements in the 'Terms' box:

Don't forget to 'Save' once you are done making changes

Manually sending a receipt:

Once the job status is set to 'Paid' (charging customers) you will be able to send the receipt by clicking on the 'Send receipt' text button:

  • Once the sent a brief confirmation will pop up in the top right corner

Automatically sending a receipt:

You can send automate the sending of a receipt by going to Settings -> General -> Customer communications -> Receipts:

  • Activate the automation by checking the 'Send receipts to customer automatically' checkbox
  • You can send receipts via text message or via email
  • You can set when to send the receipt 
    • One the day of (the service and time)
    • After (the service date and time - you have to specify how many days after)

Don't forget to 'Save' once you are done making changes
